Health, Schools

Atlanta, GA--  Ms. Slaughter, 3rd grade teacher from Conley Hills Elementary School in East Point has created a program called M.O.V.E. to introduce students to exercise.  M.O.V.E stands for Motivate-set goals and exercise, Overweight- not where you really want to be, View- read food lables and make healthy choices, Educate-information and awareness.

Everyday this week Ms. Slaughter selected a captain that leads the entire class through a group exercise 3 times a day/5 minutes each. To go along with this activity, the class has also invited community leaders to visit her class and read books on healthy living to her students.

This is great program that Linda Slaughter, last year's Teacher of the year, has started in East point and we commend her.
