ADOPT A PET: Meet Tommy

NEWNAN, Ga. – If you dream of coming home to a wet nose, wagging tail and tons of kisses (in addition to, perhaps, a half chewed shoe or overturned trashcan) adopt a puppy from your local pet shelter. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million domesticated animals enter animal shelters nationwide, every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. However, you can change those numbers but adopting a “companion” for yourself or your family. Pets are an investment but, in our opinion, an investment well worth the money.

Tommy is a male, Corgie mix who needs a home. According to the Humane Society, Tommy is full of personality, very loving and affectionate. He’s an attention hog and loves to be loved. Tommy was at Coweta County Animal Control for several weeks and although several people were interested in Tommy, no one would adopt him because he had a large mass on his hind right leg.  NCHS was able to raise some money and get Tommy out of Animal Control. They removed the mass and now Tommy is ready to be adopted.
