Chick-fil-A opened 92 new restaurants to surpass more than 1,600 locations in 39 states and Washington, D.C.
It awarded nearly $1.6 million in college scholarships to Chick-fil-A restaurant employees, bringing the program total to nearly $30 million since its inception in 1973.
The company expects to donate $1.65 million in college scholarships in 2012.
Chick-fil-A also plans to add 92 new restaurants and create 7,000 new job opportunities this year due to new restaurant openings and existing restaurant growth.
