“History and Culture Day” to Highlight Darnell Senior Facility’s 12th Anniversary Celebration
On Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., Georgia artist Malaika Favorite will re-introduce her “Studies in Black History, 1999” as a part of History and Culture Day at the Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility, 677 Fairburn Road, N.W. Atlanta.
Introduced by the Fulton County Public Art Commission in 1999 for the opening of the Facility, the collection includes 28 mixed-media paintings reflecting the life stories of the people and places within the surrounding community.
