Puppet display comes to Atlanta airport

ATLANTA -- The Center for Puppetry Arts has presented Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with a display that transports visitors through the history, variety and pageantry of puppetry.

"World on a String" features 51 puppets from countries across the world, including Belgium, Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Mali and the United States.

"We are proud to present this colorful, eye-catching exhibit, which will appeal to all age groups," said Katherine Dirga, manager of the Airport Art Program. "The puppets on display represent some iconic forms of the art, such as Punch and Judy, as well as interesting varieties that may be less familiar, such as water puppetry."

"World on a String" will be on display until fall 2012.
